A reconstruction contractor that works from the claim file.
Homeland City building is a Minneapolis construction contractor that rebuilds commercial buildings and apartment buildings of four or more units after fire, water, frozen-pipe and storm losses. We inspect the site, price the repairs line by line against the insurance claim scope, and rebuild in phases so tenants and businesses can keep using the parts of the building that are still safe.
Who we work for
Building owners and property managers
Owners of office, retail, medical, church and light industrial buildings, and of apartment buildings with four or more units, who need a damaged building back in service.
Facility and risk managers
Teams who have to keep the undamaged parts of a building running and report progress up the line every week.
Insurance adjusters
We supply measurements, photos and line-item pricing so the scope can be agreed item by item. Coverage decisions remain with the carrier.
Lenders
Banks releasing insurance or loan proceeds receive AIA G702/G703 pay applications with lien waivers attached.
How we work, and where we stop
Clear boundaries keep a claim moving. These are the rules we follow on every project.
- 01
We rebuild; we do not adjust claims
We are not public adjusters and do not negotiate coverage. We document damage and price the repair.
- 02
Every line is visible
Estimates show quantity, unit price and total per item. Differences from the insurance estimate are flagged with the reason.
- 03
Nothing outside scope without paper
Hidden damage is photographed and priced in a written supplement before it is built.
- 04
Built to the current Minnesota codes
Repairs are permitted and inspected under the Minnesota State Building Code and Energy Code in force at permit. Electrical and plumbing work is done by separately licensed trade contractors.
